Check out photos of a special event at York Community Resource Center: Author Paul Griffin came to speak to the students on Friday, June 23. Griffin, who has previously spent time reaching out to incarcerated or special needs at-risk kids, currently holds workshops that focus on helping young men and women tell their life stories. He also works as a dog trainer, and dogs feature predominantly in many of his novels.
“The kids really enjoyed hearing from a published author and especially loved seeing photos of his dogs!” says Lathie Norton, York site director.
After his presentation, each student received a complimentary signed copy of his novel, “When Friendship Followed Me Home.”
