York Community Resource Center welcomed Aimee Maas, Outreach Community Counseling Center (OCCC) animal assisted therapist, and her therapy dog, Paddington, to its summer youth program on July 8.
“Alone with no support,” a mother of two was left stranded with no money, no medical services and no options. But staff at York Community Resource Center helped her find short-term solutions and long-term support.
York Community Resource Center, which serves south Villa Park, recently moved to the Taiwanese Community Church in Lombard. Outreach plans to continue strengthening the programs and services at York.
