The Hearts of Grace mission is accomplished through financial and prayer support for women and their families who are nurtured through the programs offered at Outreach Community Ministries.

In the spirit of Hebrews 10:24 and James 1:27, our vision is to develop a community of faith-filled women and to motivate this community toward “acts of love and good works” (Hebrews 10:24), caring for children, young people and parents who are vulnerable and “in distress” (James 1:27).

More specifically, we join in support of Outreach’s vision to:

  • Provide transitional housing for young women and young mothers in DuPage County who are homeless. Our vision is to help Outreach double its housing capacity at Jubilee Village (for young mothers and their children) and through its foster care homes (for young women) as soon as possible. Through this dynamic and very successful ministry, young women are given a second chance to finish high school, further their education, develop careers and prepare for life as independent and successful adults.
  • Expand the family stabilization services at each of Outreach’s family resource centers, so that all parents and families who are vulnerable or in crisis will have the resources they need to strengthen their family and remain stable in the future. Within each of our locations, Outreach is a catalyst of change that many parents and families need to find the hope and stability they long for. Services include counseling for families, individuals and couples; and case management, assisting families in addressing and resolving issues such as unstable housing, having enough food and clothing, and navigating public systems. Case managers assist families in long-term stability through budgeting workshops, one-time financial assistance and linkage to additional necessary resources.
  • Enhance youth development at Outreach’s family resource centers for children and teens who are vulnerable. These services enable children and youth to reach their God-given potential by restoring hope and providing opportunities to succeed at education, develop character and establish a relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. Our vision is to support the expansion of youth services across all five neighborhood resource centers.
