Thank you to Junior League of Kane and DuPage Counties, Inc. (JLKD) for awarding its $25,000 Community Grant to Jubilee Village, Outreach’s transitional housing program for homeless young, single mothers and their children! The award was presented at the Junior League’s annual Spring Fling event.

JLKD has worked with Outreach in the past two years, specifically at the Outreach Community Center’s annual Christmas Store. Plans are currently underway to provide much-needed curtains for the Jubilee Village apartments, as well as additional educational programs for the moms and children.

“We are excited about the new opportunity to partner with Jubilee Village,” says Jessica Jecmen Brummel, JLKD president. “Jubilee Village is a perfect match for our new community focus, to serve women and children ages 0-5 who are vulnerable. They are already doing wonderful work, and we hope to develop an ongoing relationship that will allow JLKD to come alongside these moms and their kids and encourage them through our community programs.”
