The 19th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration took place on January 15 at Wheaton Christian Center. This year’s keynote speaker was Roy Patterson, Moody Bible Institute Radio Host, and the Outreach Community Center’s Children’s Choir performed. In addition, Gigi Nyesoah, OCC high school and college programs coordinator, shared about the impact of the center’s College Opportunity Program.
Attendees were invited to come early for a community circle dialogue about the lasting impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s work, led by RESTORE: Carol Stream Peacemakers.
Thank you to the event’s sponsors: Outreach Community Center in Carol Stream, the Village of Carol Stream, Wheaton Christian Center and Our Savior Lutheran Church.
