This month, Warrenville Youth & Family Services (WYFS) Quest students brainstormed a variety of ideas for their service learning winter project. The students decided to help the homeless by making homemade signs and putting donation boxes around the community in hopes that this need can be met. One student shared his excitement by saying, “I don’t have anything to offer them, but if I can get other people to help, I want to do my part.”

Boxes were placed around Warrenville at Hubble Middle School, Johnson Elementary School, Discoveries Resale Shop, Grace Church of DuPage, and WYFS counseling center, and all donations will be given to PADS homeless shelter.

The Quest youth program provides a structured and safe environment for junior high and early senior high youth who are at risk in the greater Warrenville area. Meeting after school and during the summer, Quest includes academic coaching, life skills training, recreation and community service projects.
