The Puente del Pueblo summer youth program is thriving! Students living in Timberlake and Main Park apartments in West Chicago are bussed to Wheaton Bible Church for fun summer activities, academic review, service learning and a safe environment, all of which benefits both students and vulnerable families. Three business owners from Wheaton Bible Church are mentoring students in the high school program; they recently learned the practical skills of packing product in their new soap-selling business.
Fun meets learning: Elementary students acted out the circulatory system.
Through a partnership with Norman B. Barr camp in Lake Geneva, 20 elementary students were able to attend sleep away camp.
