Students in Puente de Pueblo’s summer program received the unique opportunity to participate in a soccer camp led by the Chicago Eagles.
The Chicago Eagles are a division of Missionary Athletes International (MAI), which is a sports ministry organization committed to “sharing the message of Jesus Christ through the environment of soccer.” Summer soccer camps are offered across the Chicagoland area and include skill instruction, a half-time devotional focused on character building, match play, t-shirts and team photos.
The week-long camp was a special feature of Puente’s summer program. “Students got to know their coaches over the week,” Puente del Pueblo’s site director Matthew McNiel said. “It is always something our students look forward to.”
