Warrenville Youth & Family Services (WYFS) staff recently joined in the fun at a community dodgeball tournament at Hubble Middle School. The event raised funds for the Hubble Middle School athletics department and awareness for childhood obesity.

Participants included Hubble students and teachers, Warrenville Police and Fire Departments, and WYFS. According to Angela Mains, WYFS director, WFYS had a huge presence at the event – 11 people attended including staff from counseling, youth services, case management, and administration, and an office volunteer.

The tournament featured two leagues – one for students and one for adults. WYFS won the adult league, then faced the student winners. “But we lost pretty horribly in that game!” says Angela. “Overall, the event had a lot of energy and there was a lot of community representation. Our staff had a blast and we were happy to be part of such a fun community event that benefitted a great cause.”
