Division:  Warrenville Youth and Family Services

WYFS is a multi-purpose community service agency serving the residents of the Warrenville area in Chicago’s western suburbs. Programs include the Community Counseling Center, Case Management Assistance, Hispanic Outreach, Mentoring, and Quest – an after-school/summer-school program for middle school aged youth.

Job Responsibilities

The Youth Worker is responsible for building relationships with at-risk junior high students and facilitating learning in the summer day program. Duties include working with groups of students to facilitate their participation in program activities which include community service, life skills education, recreational activities, and team building.  Ability to transport students to and from programs preferred.


A passion for working with junior high students; High School diploma; previous experience working with youth or adolescents in any setting, sensitivity to the needs of students from low-income and culturally diverse backgrounds. A current, valid IL driver’s license along with a good driving record and reliable transportation preferred.  A Commitment to Outreach Community Ministries’ Statement of Mission and Faith is required. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

The hourly rate for this position is $14.00.
